The #1 ranked LSU Alexandria Generals are unbeaten for a reason. They are very good. They have a well balanced team with size and speed. For teams that have played them, that is often a problem that seems unsolvable. Only three teams all year have teams been able to be within 7 points by the end of the game. For the Westmont Warriors that unsolvable problem had a name, Gilbert Talbot. Talbot simply controlled the paint. The Warriors had no adjustments to stop him scoring or grabbing any missed shots. Talbot became the Generals go to guy in the second half as the LSUA extended a narrow 2 point half time lead. He led both teams with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
