Texas Wesleyan 77 The Master’s 75
Holding on….
In tournament basketball, teams will make runs. With a 10 point lead and a little over 2 minutes to go the Rams of Texas Wesleyan looked for a way to keep a resurgent Master’s team from tying it up. They looked to Ryan Harris, to be their steady hand. Harris had the task of taking on Master’s leading scorers and now had to control the ball as the Mustangs looked for a steal. Harris would get fouled and need to make key free throws down the stretch. He came down with a big defensive rebound and went on to make five big free throws in the final 34 seconds. Harris’ final line was 19 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
