Lady Baron’s Soccer Sign T&tTU-20 National Team Player

Mount Vernon, GA — As a U-20 national team player life can sometimes be complicated, with the long travel hours, national team camps, and school, it leaves very little time to focus on other aspects of life.  The same could be said for recent Baron’s commit, Sarah De Gannes.  Off the back of the U-20 World Cup Qualifying campaign, De Gannes, flew to Brewton-Parker College to put pen to paper about her upcoming college commitment. Over three days, De Gannes, would meet with players from the team, school officials, and her coaches, solidifying her position with the program for 2020-2021.

When asked about why she signed for Brewton-Parker College, De Gannes said: “I see Brewton-Parker College as the best step for my career, not just on the field, but also in the classroom.  The coaching staff makes me feel like the environment is one that I can succeed with.  After my first phone call with Coach Prince, I was confident in his ability to help drive me forward and further impact my life.”

Coach Borde echoed those sentiments, but also spoke on the importance of Sarah to the team: “Sarah is a huge pick up for us. She has a lot of experience internationall. Her vision is great, she has a high motor which is of importance to her position. She’s also a great individual that comes from a competitive family; we are excited to have her.”
