LEWISTON, Idaho – No. 3 College of Idaho staked claim to the top spot in the Cascade Collegiate Conference with a 104-63 rout of host Lewis-Clark State. What it took to extend the winning streak to 14 games was a multitude of ways.

The 104 points are the most in a road game on the season and a season-best 67.2% field-goal percentage for the highest effort by a C of I team since a 68.5% clip against Montana Tech on November 15, 2002.

All of this offensive success led to five players in double figures for the College of Idaho, which raises its record to 19-2 overall and 14-1 in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. Jake O’Neil scored 17 points to lead the College of Idaho. He was joined in double figures by Paul Wilson, who made all six of his shots from the field, including a 3-pointer for 16 points; Samaje Morgan added 15 points to go along with five assists. In addition, Tyler Robinett chipped in 14 on the strength of three 3-pointers, plus Johnny Radford had 10. Drew Wyman grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, plus three assists and five points in the win.

The loss drops Lewis-Clark State to 15-6 overall and 13-2 in the CCC. The 63 points by the Warriors is its second-lowest output of the season. The defensive intensity of the Yotes forced the Warriors into 17 turnovers to match its second most of the season. C of I turned 17 turnovers into 32 points. Quentin Raynor made five 3-pointers for 15 points to lead the home team. He was joined in double figures by Davian Brown, who added 10.

After the two teams traded baskets to begin the contest, a Tyler Robinett dunk sparked a 12-2 run as the Yotes went ahead 16-4 with 14:30 left in the half. A few minutes later, the College of Idaho quickly put the game out of reach with a 20-6 run to take a 36-13 lead with 8:01 left in the half. The Yotes held a 50-26 lead at the halftime break. It marked the seventh time College of Idaho has put 50 points on the scoreboard in the first 20 minutes. The Yotes shot a season-best 66.7% (20-for-30) from the field and had 13 assists on 20 field goals.

A 16-6 run to start the second half by the visitors sealed the win as College of Idaho went up by as much as 46 on its way to the victory. After shooting a blistering 66.7% from the field in the first 20 minutes, the Yotes were just as hot in the second half when they recorded a pair of season-high efforts as they shot 67.7% from the field and scored 54 points in the final 20 minutes.

Next, the College of Idaho will face Walla Walla on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 10 p.m. (MT)/9 p.m. (PT).
