This playoff season may be the best I have seen as a SUN Conference fan. Despite Georgetown’s victory over St. Thomas as biggest upset on the day, it appears as if the playoff schedule makers got it right. The top four teams move on playing at home next week. The Keiser Seahawks had to deal with a Florida cold wave as the temps dipped below 70 degrees. Meanwhile, the Morningside Mustangs ran to victory in the snow. Great stuff!
Dordt and Cocordia would have likely beat most of the field on most days. We’ll see if Northwestern and Morningside win next game giving credence to that claim.
These pairings are a joke. Quit modifying the bracket to give a team an advantage to win. If they can’t win by setting a bracket and letting it play out, then they don’t deserve to move on in the tournament.
You’ve missed the point of the NAIA having a championship series and not a bracketed tournament. Budgets at the NAIA school level do not allow for the NAIA to just bracket a tournament in football. Everyone knows this coming in. The NAIA has to try to regionalize their games to prevent chartered flights and the additional costs that could come with that. Some of those travel costs are reimbursed to the schools, but typically not all. My question is what team has benefitted?
