The Victory Sports Network has released this week’s NAIA Football Top 25 Ranking Presented by McDonald’s for October 13, 2025. Carroll College’s victory over Montana Western has pushed the Saints to No. 10 while dropping the Bulldogs to No. 14.
The other upset in the Top 25 came from Midland University (3-3) as they went on the road to beat previously undefeated Concordia (Neb.) in double-overtime. The loss by CUNE moves the Bulldogs to No. 23.

Lindsey Wilson should be ranked 4. They have beaten 4 ranked teams and are 6-0. Benedictine has lost one to Grand VIew and eeked out a win with Morningside, other than that not a very difficult schedule. Morningside has played only one ranked team and it was the loss to Benedictine. Friends hasn’t played one ranked team and has an easy schedule and conference, yet they are ranked ahead of Lindsey Wilson. Montana Tech has played underwhelming teams except for Montana Western that was ranked too high and they are now a 2 loss team. The rankings seem to have a built in coach’s bias. It doesn’t make sense to me.
Well, there’s no “coaching” bias in this ranking. Just what I’ve seen on tape. You are neglecting to mention Montana Tech beat College of Idaho and Carroll College. . .both of whom are ranked. And the fact that Montana Tech hasn’t trailed in a game all season.
We will learn more about Friends this weekend when they play McPherson.
Don’t misinterpret what I’m saying, LWU is great and if they keep winning the ranking will correct itself over time. Additionally, LWU had a shot to make it further up the ranking the weekend of September 20th but trailed in the 3rd quarter to Reinhardt 24-21. And let’s not discount anyone’s schedule quite yet, one of LWU’s wins was over Georgetown College (Ky.) who I have a feeling might be unranked at the end of the season with a 7-3 or 6-4 record.
Second week in a row that Mcpherson is only showing a 5-0 record but have a 6-0 record. Any particular reason?
It’s because the person updating the records lacks attention to detail. I’ll punch him. . .oh wait. . .it’s me. Sorry about that. Updated now!
lol all good. Coaches Poll made an error as well, listed Southwestern 6-0 instead of 5-1.
Respectfully it’s crazy you use the Reinhardt game as a way to justify LWU not moving up in the rankings but they obliterated every other ranked team they’ve played, one of which is still top 10 in both your poll and the NAIA poll. One way that can be interpreted is that there is either bias towards the traditional powerhouses (as there should be because most years that’s proven come playoff time) or people are still letting preseason bias effect what is an otherwise undefeated body of work.
With that said I am also an LWU alum so admittedly I’m extremely biased.
