Southeastern defeated Reinhardt in Round One of the NAIA Football FCS in a rematch from the regular season to advance to Round Two. . .to play in a rematch from the regular season against Keiser University. The familiarity of these two opponents could play into a different outcome on Saturday as the Fire have continued to expand their offense. But Keiser is still Keiser and bring a wealth of talent into the contest Saturday.
Keys: Southeastern University (9-2)
- Establish the run and compliment it with the passing attack that created big plays last week.
- Get their QB time to throw and prevent him from having to run for his life.
- Play the pressure defense that has made them successful this season.
- Get the DL into the backfield to stop the run and pressure KU QB Shea Spencer
Keys: Keiser University (10-0)
- The OL and DL have dominated teams all season, find a way to continue that this week.
- Run the ball successfully and keep SEU guessing at what’s coming.
- Create turnovers and convert them into points.
- Allow QB Shea Spencer time to throw and dictate the pace of the game
Prediction
Southeastern and Keiser were in a close game for 3.5 quarters during the regular season and this one will be no different. The style of play will be physical, run first football with an emphasis on the defenses trying to create turnovers. Keiser has all the confidence in the world so if SEU is going to be successful, they need to rattle them early. Keiser needs to play their style of game because if they don’t, SEU will take advantage for the upset. This game will be much closer than most 15 vs 1 seeds in the postseason.
Keiser 24 SEU 21
