Share

Fargo, ND – The Victory Sports Network has released its 2025 NAIA Football All-American Team and individual awards for the season. The 2025 NAIA Football National Champion Grand View University had a clean sweep of the individual position awards.

Offensive Player of the Year: Jackson Waring – Grand View University
Defensive Player of the Year: John Argo – Grand View University
Coach of the Year: Kyle Samson – Montana Tech University

Waring, a senior from Ankeny, Iowa, was also named the NAIA Player of the Year by the NAIA Coaches as well as being named the Player of the Year in the Heart North Conference both in back-to-back seasons. He was also the VSN Offensive Player of the Year in 2024. He finished his career 39-1 as a starter for the Vikings. This season he accumulated 34 passing touchdowns to just four interceptions and six rushing touchdowns.

Argo, a senior from Davenport, Iowa, was an All-American on the AFCA and Associated Press teams as well as being named the Heart North Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Argo was named the VSN Defensive Player of the year in back-to-back seasons. He finished 2025 with 105 total tackles, 15 tackles for loss and four interceptions.

Samson of Montana Tech earned his first Coach of the Year accolades from the Victory Sports Network. The sixth-year head coach guided the Orediggers to the most successful regular season in program history, boasting a 12-1 record, the Frontier Conference East Division championship, and the No. 3 seed in the NAIA Football Championship Series. Five of Tech’s 12 wins came against teams rated in the NAIA Top 25.

About the selections: The VSN NAIA Football team is compiled by Jason Dannelly of the Victory Sports Network. Nominations are automatically taken from First Team selections from the All-Conference teams in the NAIA. Input on the selections comes from coaches, SIDs and media members around the NAIA. The final selections are made by Dannelly.

Positions: The majority of the positions on the list are self-explanatory. VSN selects an Athlete (ATH) position based on an individual’s attributes to the overall team’s success. Athlete selections are a combination of individual statistics from passing, rushing, returns and special teams play. Return Specialist (RS) is selected from a combination of kick and punt returners. VSN does not select a long snapper to the All-American team due to the lack of a national standard for statistical comparisons.
