ctory Sports Network was founded July 5th 2002 by Jason Dannelly to become a promoter of NAIA Collegiate athletics. Through the years Dannelly has built very strong relationships with the NAIA member institutions and coaches. Dannelly has published the only magazine dedicated to NAIA athletics, founded three major sports web sites, and produces weekly features on latest news of the NAIA. Dannelly is also the coordinator for the Rimington Award, the annual reward given to the best FCS, DII, DIII and NAIA level centers in conjunction with the Rimington Trophy. At VSN, it is our mission is to give fans, coaches, and players of small college athletics a place to find out the latest information on the NAIA. - July 5, 2002: Jason Dannelly creates the original company web site NAIAFOOTBALL.NET.
- April, 4 2005: After creating web sites for NAIA basketball and NAIA baseball, the Victory Sports Network brand was created as a landing spot for all things NAIA.
- November, 8 2008: 2008, College Fanz aquired the Victory Sports Network.
- July 23, 2010: The College Fanz Sports Network’s mission changed and control of VSN reverted back to Jason Dannelly.
- March 1, 2012: VSN was reorganized as Victory Sports Network, LLC with Rob Brandt as Managing Partner and Jason Dannelly as a minority partner.
- October 1, 2023: The Victory Sports Network entered a new chapter with as Rob Brandt transferred control to the company’s founder, Jason Dannelly. The transition of ownership transpired following Dannelly’s initiative this summer when he approached Brandt with the prospect of reclaiming the company. After weeks of negotiations and meticulous planning, an agreement was reached to propel the company forward under Dannelly’s leadership.
- January 21, 2024: The Victory Sports Network launches its new website with updated branding and logos.

- The Victory Sports Network writes numerous blogs on NAIA sports. However, a good majority of our posts are press releases from across the NAIA. These press releases are posted across VSN and are provided by the schools and sports information directors.

Dannelly has been a small college football journalist since 1998. In that time, he has been a member of the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), founder of the Victory Sports Network and general manager of the College Fanz Sports Network. His work over the last 20 plus years in small college media has come through print publications, blogs, and radio/television broadcasts. Since 2008, the recipients of the Rimington Award have been chosen by Jason Dannelly
