It was bought by a financial group to keep the lights on as a K-12 grade school, and it looks like they expanded it to include a community college as well. Detroit Community Christian College or aka Community Christian College of Mich. opened their branch to help served the kids in Detroit. Now, they have to change their named to Detroit Community Christian College, and they seemed to have been accepted this fall in NJCAA in region 12 for all sports including football. It seems the sisters of the former college still lives on campus as well. This is a much better happy ending than several other schools that shut down.

That article came out in November, old news. NJCAA requirements must be incredibly loose, the 'school' would be lucky to make it into the USCAA, it smells of another "College of Faith" scam operation.

Plus the NJCAA does not list them as a member, enough with the clickbait

Gotcha. I appreciate the clarifications. So they are an NJCAA-style institution, correct?

It's actually worse than you think... "Detroit Christian Community College" is a football team. Students enroll is a scam online "Christian" Community College in California ( http://cccollege.edu/, click the "music/athletics at CCC" tab on the top right") which is run by the guy who ran the Vaterott scam schools in Missouri years ago.

The NJCAA IS taking them as D1 football members beginning this fall (they've been lying and claiming to be NJCAA D1 for at least a year, which the NJCAA knows, but evidently "the check cashed" is persuasive).

This DCCC football program is only one of dozens of fake colleges that are actually just football/basketball teams selling $12k/year faux accredited community college degrees online. It's truly nauseating.

The California based school does have a campus which that one is listed on NJCAA website since 2020. Their 2020 season was ruined because of Covid. They seemed to have been accepted as the only California school in the NJCAA. They have opened 5 schools in Arizona for NJCAA for football purposes and all that. They have campuses in Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. The one that they have in Florida have been accepted into the IJCAA which is Independent Junior College Athletics Association with Atlantis University. Actually the Florida, Georiga, South Carolina and North Carolina schools broke away from that dude College of Faith Arkansas. The CCC of California gave these schools an opening to get going. CCC is accredited by TRACS.

As for the former school? It was made into a private Christian school from grade K-12, but it would not be impossible for such schools partner up to help the kids and community to have a Junior College as well. Many private schools did that in the past, and it would not be surprising that they did partner up with CCC. As for the guy being talked about? The deal at the school was by admission staff, and not by instructors. Instructors are also victims of people as well like not getting paid and all that.

the "campus" is a dentist's office, you can look at the building on Google maps. You can also see pictures of the local elementary school where they played "home" basketball games... honestly, if people want to pay $12k a year for "Christian" community college when the local community college is FREE, I wish them well, but the whole taking financial aid to play for a fake college like "Georgia Christian Institute" is simply FAFSA fraud, you can't use the same FAFSA code for different campuses. This is basically a Schroedinger's FAFSA fraud. CCC is telling the NJCAA that these are "satellite campuses" and telling FAFSA they know nothing about them and these are just online students. It's disgusting. The NAIA seems way to smart to screw with these guys, and frankly, I'm shocked the NJCAA can't see where this is going to end up.
