NAIA Football Player Profile: Bradley Myers, Evangel University (Mo.)

Bradley Myers currently leads the NAIA in tackles per game as a senior linebacker at Evangel University, Myers has become a key player for Evangel’s defense which has helped to lead the Valor to an undefeated start this season. This week he was also named the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts last weekend.

In the 2023 season, Myers showcased his prowess in every game, leading the team to several crucial victories. His outstanding performance in Evangel University’s first season as a member of the KCAC has the team on track to an NAIA postseason berth. Last season he totaled 102 tackles and three forced fumbles for the Valor.  Here’s a look at Myers’ season to date:

Sep 2 at Tabor (W, 14-7): Myers continued his stellar form, contributing 9 tackles and 1 pass breakup.

Sep 9 vs. Sterling (W, 55-0): Myers showcased his versatility with 15 total tackles, dominating the opposition’s offense and ensuring a shutout win for Evangel.

Sep 23 vs. Ottawa (W, 27-21): Myers contributed significantly with 18 total tackles, demonstrating his ability to read the game and make crucial stops when needed the most.

Sep 30 at Avila (MO) (W, 44-6): Myers showcased his defensive skills, recording 7 total tackles and 1 tackle for loss.

Oct 14 at Bethany (KS) (W, 34-11): Myers continued his excellent form with 11 total tackles, 1 sack, and 1.5 tackles for loss, ensuring Evangel’s dominance on the defensive end while also forcing a fumble.

Oct 21 vs. Friends (KS) (W, 20-11): Myers contributed with 12 total tackles, 1 pass breakup and a forced fumble.

Oct 28 at McPherson (W, 17-7): Myers showcased his exceptional skills, recording an impressive 20 total tackles, 2 sacks, and 3.5 tackles for loss. His outstanding performance played a vital role in Evangel’s victory on the road.
